1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how 9VIL LLC ("9VIL", "we", "us", or "our"), a United States limited liability company operating Nailumi under the 9VIL brand, collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use the Nailumi mobile application, website, and related services.
By using Nailumi, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. Where permission is required, Nailumi asks for it before the relevant data is collected, uploaded, or shared.
2. Information We Collect and How
- Selected images: When you choose Camera or Photo Library, Nailumi may collect the hand photo and nail-design image you select. Images can contain personal information visible in the image.
- Generated results: We collect and store nail try-on previews created from your selected images so they can be delivered to the app and made available in History.
- Account, session, and device data: Nailumi creates an app session automatically and may collect identifiers, device information, operating-system information, app version, and security data needed to maintain access, credits, History, and service integrity.
- Product interaction and analytics data: We may collect information about app launches, screens viewed, buttons used, generation events, performance, crashes, and similar interactions to understand and improve Nailumi.
- Purchase information: Apple App Store or Google Play processes purchases. We may receive product, transaction, entitlement, and verification information, but we do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
- Support information: When you contact us, we collect your message, any optional email address or attachments you provide, and information needed to locate and troubleshoot the relevant app session.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create the nail try-on preview you request;
- optimize, upload, process, deliver, and store selected images and generated results;
- provide History, save/share features, app sessions, credit balances, and purchase entitlements;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve Nailumi;
- personalize content and understand product interactions where permitted;
- respond to support and data-deletion requests; and
- comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
We do not sell your uploaded images or personal information.
4. Image Processing and AI
With your permission, Nailumi securely uploads the hand photo and nail-design image selected for a request to its backend and uses AI processing systems to generate the requested nail try-on preview.
The selected images are used for the requested processing, delivery, History, security, and service operations described in this policy. Processors acting for Nailumi are required to use data only for authorized services and to provide the same or an equivalent level of protection described in this Privacy Policy.
5. Your Image Choice and Consent
Before a personal image selected through Camera or Photo Library is uploaded for AI processing, Nailumi displays an Image Privacy & Data Sharing notice and asks for your permission.
If you select "Not Now" or close the notice, that Camera or Photo Library action does not continue and no image is uploaded from that action. Device-level Camera, Photo Library, and tracking permissions can also be managed in your operating-system settings.
6. Analytics, Personalization, and Tracking
Nailumi may use device identifiers and product-interaction data for analytics, service improvement, security, and content personalization. When platform rules require permission before data is used for tracking across other companies' apps or websites, Nailumi presents the platform permission request. You may decline that permission or change it later in device settings.
7. Service Processors and Disclosures
We use infrastructure, storage, security, analytics, AI processing, customer-support, and payment services to operate Nailumi. Information is disclosed only as reasonably necessary for those services, to complete a transaction you request, to comply with law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
All processors acting for Nailumi are required to protect information consistently with this policy and applicable requirements.
8. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Selected images and generated results may be stored securely to provide History and related app features. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Nailumi, maintain security and records, fulfill transactions, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
You may request deletion of your Nailumi data through Contact Us in the app or by emailing nailumi@9vil.app. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to locate the relevant anonymous app session and verify the request. Requests are processed in accordance with applicable law, subject to information we must retain for legal, fraud-prevention, transaction, or security purposes.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information during transmission, processing, and storage. No network, system, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children's Privacy
Nailumi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Nailumi, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Nailumi or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app when appropriate.
